Christmas is just kicking my ass. Today apparently was "bring as many delicious items that you can to work" day. So far, I've had a small piece of peanut fudge, tiny cheesecake, shortbread, rum and egg nog and my boss just brought another plate around.
Everyone knows sweets are my weakness especially when everyone else leaves the office.
Oh god.
Also last night, some loser has been craving the saltiness of chips for about 4 days so we went to the grocery store, got organic baked chips. Those seemed to satisfy it for a bit but now I'm up 2 lbs!!!
Almost at 40 lbs lost though which is huge.
Once Christmas is over, I should be okay.

Well I've had a fairly successful week. Lost four lbs which is absolutely fantastic. Won't be as good this week. We are going to Mikes parents for the weekend and it's his birthday so I'm sure between the panzerottis (tradition) and cake and Christmas food I'll be 8 lbs heavier. Not really but I'll restrict a bit.
I love Christmas. It's my second favourite holiday, I love it all. The joy of being with family, the decorations, the traditions, the music. Mike... well he likes being with family and presents. I've been really into the Christmas music (most radio announcers hate it) but since this is my first year as a real radio announcer I love this time of year.
I've discovered an online Christmas radio station so I can just open it up and listen to so many Christmas songs all night long. In different languages to boot.
There is a lot of snow here in Port Elgin. I think this is the most I've seen in a while. Living in Welland for three years, it never got weather other than rain so coming to a snow belt was a huge shock even after living at home in Peterborough.
Going to get my hair cut tonight for Christmas. I deserve it. It's starting to look ragged, hopefully she listens to what I want this time.
Happy Holidays!

Welcome to my blog
I first started my weight loss journey August 2008. My dad had bought me a shirt at the car races and the only size he could get was a men's 3x... I was so embarrassed. The shirt made me look like a walrus. It was also around that time that my fiance and I had decided on a wedding date. I knew after the wedding that I would want to begin thinking about children. I knew that I couldn't have children at my particular weight.
That day, I joined Curves (a women's only gym). My first month, I lost 2 lbs. I was so upset and frustrated. Then I decided to try the Curves 6 week challenge. Those 6 weeks I lost 25 lbs. OMG The feeling was absolutely amazing. I continued eating the same things I had eaten on the challenge.
I started my journey at a weight I'm not even going to discuss! Huge for a woman, I know.
Currently I have lost 36 lbs. I am not going to stop until I am happy with myself. I was happy at 310 lbs, but I want to be healthy for my children. I want to be healthy for my future husband.
This blog will be about my weight loss and upcoming wedding September 25/09!
This picture was taken in June at my highest weight.

And this was in November before my work Christmas party.
